About Me
Eric is a broker associate in Alain Pinel´s newest office in St. Helena. You could say real estate is in Eric’s blood. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Eric started early in the industry, working in the family business which consisted of Risch Construction Company, focused on residential construction, Risch Realty, involving private land and subdivision development along with home sales, and Risch Building and Loan, offering purchase services for buyers and sellers. Eric spent more than 15 years working in all aspects of the business from surveying, purchasing and improving undeveloped land to designing, building, selling, leasing, and remodeling residential properties.
While earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Information System Management from the University of San Francisco, Eric permanently relocated to the Bay Area in 1985 and temporarily took a detour from real estate, choosing to hone his skills in high-tech—first at Wells Fargo Bank, then in the research and development division of Apple Computer, and later at Medior, Inc., a multimedia production studio acquired by America On Line (AOL) Interactive.
Eric then went on to found an internet technology design and marketing firm, Grapevine, and grew the corporation from a small personal investment to be one of the top eight web marketing firms in the Bay Area in just six years. In his role as CEO, Eric lead the Grapevine team in building a prestigious client portfolio, attracting and retaining both start-ups and Fortune 1000 companies such as 3Com, Netscape, Adobe Systems and J.D. Power & Associates, just to name a few.
In 2001 Eric fulfilled his dream of living in the Napa Valley and moved with his three children to St. Helena. It was here that Eric returned to his roots to pursue a career in real estate
